Stranger Things Star Maya Hawke Says “F*** the Supreme Court” After Jimmy Fallon Encourages Her

The Tonight Show's Maya Hawke didn't hold back when she talked about her family's history of abortion in light of the Supreme Court's recent decision to uphold Roe v. Wade

Stranger Things star, whose parents are Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, appeared on Jimmy Fallon's NBC late-night show on Tuesday

During her interview with her mother, the host said that she was preparing for her Tonight Show appearance

Hawke stated that she and Thurman discussed the Washington Post article

Which Thurman wrote in September regarding an abortion that the Pulp Fiction actress claimed to have had in her teens

We just got into the Supreme Court ruling and this essay my mom wrote a couple of months ago that was sort of preceding this whole thing, Hawke remembers. She was 23 at the time.

Her essay describes how she wouldn't have become the person she became if she hadn't had an abortion when she was young

And she wouldn't exist if she hadn't had access to safe and legal health care - fundamental health care
