Phoenix Mercury Star Skylar Diggins-Smith Calls Her Coach a Clown Over Diana Taurasi Comment

Phoenix Mercury coach Vanessa Nygaard and Skylar Diggins-Smith are at odds over this year's WNBA All-Star selection

Diggins-Smith, 31, was named to her sixth all-star team

On July 10, the Indiana native will get the start in the league's All-Star game in Chicago

There will also be Candace Parker, Breanna Stewart, A'ja Wilson, Nneka Ogwumike, and others in the 2022 WNBA All-Star Game

Diana Taurasi, Diggins-Smith's teammate and a ten-time all-star, is noticeably absent from the 2022 list

Nygaard said in a media appearance that there will be a game in Chicago, but it will not be an All-Star Game because Diana Taurasi will not be there

Diggins-Smith, who has publicly feuded with Taurasi this season, responded by adding a clown emoji to a clip of Nygaard's comment

Earlier this season, Diggins-Smith and Taurasi made headlines when they were separated after a scuffle on the bench during a Phoenix Mercury game
