Otto Porter Jr. departs for the Raptors

Golden State Warriors free agency is not off to a great start

Gary Payton II was reportedly heading to the Portland Trail Blazers on a three-year deal when news broke that Otto Porter Jr. would be joining the Toronto Raptors

Porter is reportedly signing a two-year deal with a player option for the second year with the Toronto Raptors

There is no word on how much the Raptors will pay Porter, but according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, the Warriors offered him the veteran minimum contract

Porter could have used part or all of the taxpayer mid-level exception, but it's unclear whether or not that was an option

The Warriors only had Porter for one season, but it was a successful one

In 22.2 minutes, he averaged 8.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.1 steals, and fit both the offensive and defensive schemes well

A key player in the postseason, he started all three games as the Warriors won three-straight against the Boston Celtics to claim another championship
