Mickey Rourke Calls Tom Cruise Irrelevant: "Same Part For 35 Years"
Mickey Rourke has called fellow Hollywood star Tom Cruise "irrelevant"
After Cruise's Top Gun: Maverick earned $1.2 billion, he made the comment on TalkTV's Piers Morgan Uncensored programme
During an interview with Mr Morgan, the 69-year-old actor was asked how it feels to see Mr Cruise topping the box office with his sequel to 1986's Top Gun: Maverick
According to Rourke, "That doesn't mean anything to me. The guy has been doing the same thing for 35 years. I have no respect for him"
In the clip of the interview posted on Piers Morgan Uncensored's official Twitter channel, Mr Rourke is heard saying,
"I don't care about money or power. I watch Al Pacino and Chris Walken and De Niro's work early. That's the kind of actor I want to be."
It was estimated that nearly $521 million (about 4,078 crore) of the $1 billion was collected in the US and Canada markets
While the remaining $485 million (about 3,796 crore) was collected in other markets.
