HDFC Hikes Lending Rate By 25 

The lending rate of HDFC Ltd increased by 25 basis points on Saturday, affecting both new and existing borrowers.

Earlier next week, the RBI's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) will meet to discuss the rate hike

Increasing interest rates to tame high inflation is widely expected by the MPC

As of August 1, 2022, HDFC will increase its Retail Prime Lending Rate (RPLR) on housing loans by 25 basis points (bps), which is the benchmark for its Adjustable Rate Home Loans (ARHLs).

According to the revised rates, new borrowers can expect rates ranging from 7.80 percent to 8.30 percent

There is a range of 7.55 percent to 8.05 percent currently in place

Rates will rise by 25 basis points (0.25 percent) for existing customers
