Ghislaine Maxwell Sentenced to 20 Years in Epstein Sex Trafficking Case

Hislaine Maxwell was just sentenced to 20 years in prison for her involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking scandal

Almost 7 months after being found guilty by a New York jury

Once she is released, she must also pay a $750k fine and serve five years of supervised release

In December, Maxwell was convicted on 5 of the 6 counts she faced in her sex trafficking trial, including one for sex trafficking of a minor

Maxwell was accused of soliciting and grooming minors for sex crimes and abuse by Epstein between 1994 and 2004

Four women testified at Epstein's trial that she sexually abused them when they were all under the age of 18

And they also said Maxwell recruited and groomed girls for Epstein to abuse, and sometimes even joined in on the abuse

Maxiwell pled not guilty and her legal team insists she's been made a scapegoat for Epstein who committed suicide in custody while awaiting his trial in 2019
