For Six Games, Deshaun Watson Is Suspended

A league disciplinary official has suspended Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson without pay for six games, the league announced on Monday.

In 2021, Watson will be sidelined after 24 women accused him of sexual misconduct, sparking civil lawsuits.

In June, Watson settled 20 of the cases against him

Robinson stated in her decision that Watson's conduct was far more egregious than any punishment

The NFL has previously imposed on a player who faced allegations of non-violent sexual conduct

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told NPR via email that Robinson found Watson guilty of "multiple violations of the NFL Personal Conduct Policy."

According to her, the NFL had proven Watson engaged in sexual assault conduct that poses a danger to others
