Ex-NFL DT Tony Siragusa, 'the Goose,' dies at age 55

Tony Siragusa, a defensive tackle in the NFL who became one of its best players and most popular personalities, died Wednesday at the age of 55

Siragusa's cause of death was not immediately known

"Goose" Siragusa was a vital part of the Baltimore Ravens' historic 2000 defense, which culminated in the franchise's first Super Bowl title that year

As an undrafted free agent, he drank away his $1,000 signing bonus immediately 

And ended up as one of the game's most unique personalities known for his irreverent sense of humor and memorable pranks

Former Ravens coach Brian Billick said Goose was "a warrior on the field and a team unifier with a giving

Generous heart who helped teammates and the community more than most people knew
