Allyson Felix progresses, Sha’Carri Richardson out of the 100m on Day 1 of U.S. Olympic style sports Championships

Sha'Carri Richardson, a dynamic but inconsistent sprinter, will not be on the U.S. team for the 100 meters at the World Championships

During the opening night of the 2022 USATF Outdoor Championships, Richardson was 5th in her heat in 11.31, well off her season best of 10.85, and not fast enough to advance

Despite Richardson's entry in the 200, the early round elimination came as a surprise after she finished second at the 2022

21 years after competing at the first U.S.Championships, 13-time world champion Allyson Felix won her 400-meter heat and advanced to the semifinals

In an interview with On Her Turf earlier this week, Felix reflected on her experiences at those 2001 championships

Where she was eliminated in the 200m heat in the opening round (Marion Jones won the heat and went on to win the national title, from which she was later stripped)

Tokyo Olympic champion and world record holder Sydney McLaughlin advanced to the next round of the 400m hurdles in 54.11

Dalilah Muhammad, the reigning world champion, announced that USATF had granted her a waiver, which exempted her from competing in Eugene this weekend
